President Barack Obama is joining the Japanese leader in saying the long-standing U.S.-Japanese relationship needs to adapt to the needs of the 21st century.
Both leaders voice a determination to maintain the close relationship binding the two countries, but said it was time to review and revise the nearly 50-year-old treaty that defines the relationship between the top two world economies.
